Macro detail display column width settings getting reset

Post by bnc1 » Sun Jun 29, 2008 7:21 pm

I have found something odd with MS 10.1.15 on my Vista x64 Ultimate system. Recently I seem to keep losing my macro detail display column width settings after a system boot. In researching the forum I could only find 2 previous references, http://www.mjtnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3551 and http://www.mjtnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4593

After some experimentation I have found that using a command prompt shortcut to a MS macro is doing something wierd.

It seems that MS stores the columns widths in registry key HKCU\Software\MJTNET\Msched but they don't appear to get updated until MS is manually refreshed. So I make my column adjustments , refresh MS manually and the registry column values are updated and all is well ?!

Well it is until I use a command prompt shortcut to a MS macro or a batch file with a MS macro command. When that happens, the registry column values are reset back to defaults ?? At this point, a manual stop/start of MS and walla the registry values are restored to my previous customized values. However , if instead of a manual refresh of MS, I do a system boot then the registry column values are NOT restored and are back to default values.

I never had any problems with my macro detail display until recently when it seemd after every boot , my custom settings got reset. Whats new is my use of MS macro commands in a batch file . :) :? :(

Thanks for the problem report. Looks like some of the close down code is being executed every time when it should NOT be executed if a macro is called on the command line. We'll get this fixed for the next maintenance release.
