Hello everyone im new to this Macro Schedular thing the company I work for has just retired,
Windows NT for XP which leaves or "inhouse" automation system (16 bit) in the realm of the dodo. (its not being updated)
So I have decided to join the Macro Scheduler club.
Forgive the length of this post I will endevour to be as clear as possible
This is a copy of an order I recieve as an email .msg file I use Auscers renamer to make then .txt docs
The garbeled text at the top and bottom is present in every single order (its identical and is caused by the .txt conversion. None of that information is required.
I have 2 folders of these for each day 1 for HOME orders and one for BUSINESS
orders there is may 100 orders per day for HOME and 15 or so for BUSINESS.
If with your help I get this working for HOME orders I can easily add in the few extra lines for BUSINESS orders myself, I hope.
Basically I need a Macro Script that will copy each piece of order information across to an excel spreadsheet, a new row for each order.
I would prefer to set the folder path on a per folder basis (I only want to do one day at a time)
I.E its opens .txt file number one in the folder copies information to excel and then closes the document and moves to the .txt file
below it in the folder (Icons will be displayed with details so it will be top to bottom)
2 possible problems are the
Comments: and
Additional Info: fields.
These fields sometimes run over the one line they were provided with and would spill over to adjacent fields in excel.
Im very new to Macro Scheduler but the program has huge potential in my workplace this is just a small area of trial I suppose.
I hope the learning curve isnt to steep Ive currently only automated the fish feeding procedure in POPCAPS Insane Aqurium.
Cheers guys.
Many individual notepad docs to excel.
