Hi,
Is there a way to automatically re-create macros.dat from the available .scp ?
i.e I have all .scp in structured folders and want my macros groups to reflect it.
TIA
macros.dat

No, the macros.dat file just got corrupted.Bob Hansen wrote:It sounds like you may have physically moved scripts to folders?
Have you imported the scripts into the folders on the Macro Scheduler panel?
The import feature only import from one folder to anoteher one and you can not import to itself.
So if you have many, it's a long and painfull procces to duplicate your directory trees, import folder after folder and erase the original (well maybe ...) afterward !
Thanks for trying
Macros.dat file corrupted regularly
At my old computer, the Macros.dat file seemed to get corrupted every time I had to reboot without going through shutdown. I got in the habit of keeping a copy of it under a different name (Macros.sav) to handle that situation. I used Ver. 5.1.
5.1 is VERY old and the way macros.dat is written to has been changed completely since then. There were some issues with the way macros.dat was being written. 7.3 is completely different.

Well you can import .scp files from a directory already.
But since the scheduling data is in macros.dat and that is the file that got corrupted then of course you can't rebuild it from anywhere since it's self has the data you want to rebuild it's self with!
I'd recommend backing that file up if it is likely to get messed up by something. Same goes for any important files or database.
