If I understand correctly, you wish a macro script to be run for 17:00 hours. Please correct me if I'm wrong. To meet your requirement, let's first name your script "Maccro1". Create another script name "Macro2" by copyinng exactly all statements from Macro1.
For Macro1, at the "Run When" tab, you can tick Mon to Sun. Time starts at 08:00. Click "Advanced Options" button. Click "Repeat Continuously". Enter 23:59 for Stop and reset at/after.

For Macro2, at the "Run When" tab, you can tick Mon to Sun. Time starts at 00:00. Click "Advanced Options" button. Click "Repeat Continuously". Enter 01:00 for Stop and reset at/after.

A word of caution, I've not tested the above settings. Wish you luck.

Happy scripting.

I am going to try your settings, let me give more details. I want a program to start at 8:00am and shut down at 1:00am. I have them has seperate scripts. The first script starts the program and script 2 shuts the program down completly down. I am a first time user to macro scheduler, i find it very useful, hopefully ill get better at it. If you know where i can get more detailed information about macro please post it.

thank you

Your requirement imposes a special challenge: namely, 2 calendar days are involved, from 0800 morning to 0100 next morning. Without a trick, most applications including Microsoft Outlook 2003 won't accomplish it. That's why I devised two (identical) scripts in order to circumvent the limitation. I wish I could have inserted screen captures to facilitate your understanding. Alternatively, please drop me an email to [email protected]. Hope you enjoy using Macro Scheduler.

Hello armstrong....I agree that sometimes a picture can make more sense than a long explanation. Here is a simple way to include images in your postings, even if you have no server to use. Tinypic.com will host the image for you.

This is a simple to use, free site, where you can host an image that can then be included in a posting message. Would be a good way to post images from Sesame applications. The images are links, so will not take up storage space on the forum server.

The site location is http://tinypic.com

Just click on the browse button to upload your image. Then click on the Host button. You will get a confirmation screen, go to the bottom. You do not need to have the results sent to you by email, you can just copy the information from the "URL" field at the bottom, you can ingore the other two fields.

To get the image In the posting here, just select the forum tag for images, and paste the address you just copied into the URL prompt between the "(img)" tags.

I have included an example in this posting. Here is a picture of what hapened when someone asked me to point out one of my ideas.
Image
That idea was a real eye-stopper.
===================================
Note: If you cannot see the image referenced above, that is because the image will be removed from the server after 30 days of inactivity, or 10,000 calls, whichever comes first.
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
Bob

Hi Bob,

I'm always humbled by your broad range of technical knowledge. You rescue me once again. Thanks a lot. BTW, though unrelated to Macro Scheduler, is the visually awesome picture your own protrait?

Hi Mdurt,

Thanks to Bob's generous guidance, now I can expound a possible solution graphically to you.

Referring to the following dialog window, click the "Run When" tab and toggle on all options as shown.

Then, toggle on "Stop and reset at/after" and fill in 23 and 59.

Hope you can figure out the rest.
