Ahh! Index Out Of Bounds Bug 14.0.14

Post by CyberCitizen » Fri Dec 13, 2013 3:08 am

Just Lost Scripts (Waves Hands In Air).

Received an index out of bounds message when exiting a script I had just changed.

Had to force close Macro Scheduler.
Opened MS again & found a blank macro sitting in the group.
Edited the Macro, nothing in it.
Deleted the Macro from withing MS & MS deleted every single scp, 00* & ini file in my script directory. All the names of the macros are there and the groups, however no scripts to actually run or edit.

Having to revert back to a few weeks old backup.

Nasty. But I don't understand why the heck it would delete the back up files and ini files. I can understand why a crash might affect the current script file being edited, but not why it would delete backup files.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?

I think because the Macro that appeared in MS didn't have a name it must of done a delete looking for anything blank / deleting everything. All good (this is why I manual backup). Made A few updates & I think I have them all back to how they were, only a few changes lost.

Got the index out of bounds error again when editing a macro. This time I made a backup of the directories so I can show you the issue as well as keep my updated scripts.

Unticking The Delete Backup Files & Images Folder Fixes The Issue, Was Just A Nasty Way To Find Out The First Time.

Maybe There Can Be Some Better Checking If Its Looks For A Blank .scp File.

Do you know how you ended up with that blank entry? I think that may have been the cause, because it started after you deleted it. But how did it get there in the first place?

Same Issue

Post by Aldebaran » Thu Dec 26, 2013 6:54 pm

Just wanted to let you know that I lost my script directory too because of the same issue. I'm running the standard edition V14.0.18 on Windows 7 64bit.

Fortunately I saved my script folder on Dropbox. Restoring the folder was pretty easy. But still a nasty bug!
