Unable to capture text from QuickBooks screen

Post by [email protected] » Thu Dec 05, 2013 4:47 pm

I am not sure how QuickBooks is displaying the information in the Online Banking Match to a Register Transaction, but I am unable to capture the text in the "Unmatched transactions in QuickBooks" area. I was able to do so in previous versions of QuickBooks, but they changed something. The automation was working great until then. The procedure I need requires matching hundreds of checks each month. Any ideas how I might capture the text in order to locate a match?

I guess we would need access to QuickBooks to take a look for ourselves and see what, if anything, is possible. Is this online or desktop, which version, is there a demo version we can get hold of?

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?

One can get a 30 day free trail at the link below. I also think you could install my copy without a license for 30 days, but I am not sure of that. I will test and let you know.

1. Can you provide steps to replicate point 1? Are you using follow cursor or something? How does FindObject mess up the cursor monitor?

2. I have noted this in our bug tracker. Not sure why shift+backspace doesn't do anything but we'll investigate.

Thanks.

The Post from maliha on this Topic does not seem to apply. I think maliha's post was intended for a different Topic.
