Forum Searching - What"s the Trick?

Post by gchichester » Sat Jul 02, 2011 5:26 pm

Can someone please explain how the forum Search function works.
For example I just had an issue with Code Folding not working correctly on one of my scripts, only one fold when there should be 12 or more.
So I did my normal troubleshooting steps.
Closed & reopened editor and loaded script
Checked to see if Code Folding option was on, turned it off and on
Checked another script, working fine.
Next step Search MS forum for issues with Code Folding 2321 hits on 47 pages.
I thought that can't be possible, tried "Code Folding" same results.
Then I used my browsers(Chrome) find on page utility to look for code folding only found "code" no hits on folding.

So what is the secret to forum searching?
Oh by the why what would cause code folding to stop working?

Happy Fourth!

I found my Code Folding problem, it was a incomplete Dialog> command.

Thanks

Hi gchichester,

You want to search the forums for "code folding" as one contiguous phrase... so:

- from the forums, click the Search link
- in the top field (where it says Google Custom Search) type in:

"code folding"

- then click the Search button beside that field... I get 10 hits

Enjoy

Note: If anyone else on the planet would find the following useful...
[Open] PlayWav command that plays from embedded script data
...then please add your thoughts/support at the above post - :-)
