Ideas to detect right click?

Post by Tony » Thu Oct 23, 2003 2:37 pm

Any ideas to have MS detect when I right click mouse button? Or even
detect when the right click context menu pops up?

Here's my goal:
I live in the sticks and have a SLOOOW internet connection...
To stay sane, I sometimes browse with images turned off.
I would like to be able to just right click on individual images and
then have them load as requested.

Right now I have a script that (when hot-keyed) presses right
click and sends the 'h' key. I move the mouse over an image,
press the hot-key, it right clicks on the image, and then selects
'Show Image'. This works fine, but it is two steps for each image
that I want to view (move mouse over image, and press hot key).

I would like to be able to just right click on the image, and have MS
automatically send the 'h' key (for 'Show Image'). I can't seem to
find a way for MS to detect when I have right clicked, and I also
can't find a way for MS to detect when the right click context menu
is displayed. If I could detect either of these actions, I could have
MS send the 'h' key... hmmm.......

Any ideas?

A keylogger!

Requirements:
it has to log (special) keys into an unencrypted/plain text file.
So you/a script could read that file while it logs what you're doing ...

a) read line from key logfile
b) check if the line has changed
c) if no, wait (loop)
c) if yes, check if the line contains the matching key
d) if yes, do it!
e) loop back

8)
