from computer monitor to hd tv

i have been trying to switch the signal from computer monitor to the hd tv in the next room.
if i do it manually using nvidia ctrl panel it works fine but using the 'record' function the recording stops at the point of switching to the other room where you have to click 'yes' to keep the currrent setup.
both monitors go blank except there is a cursor on the hd tv but no control.

the macro to change from 2 computer monitors to 1 with the correct resolution to match the plasma tv works great.

has anyone tried this with better results?

Have you tried it without recording? I.e. write the code manually.

all i know is applesoft basic and i am now too old to learn a new coding or scripting language.
that's why i was so happy to try out your 'record' function.
