advanced script schedulling

Post by rblack » Sun Mar 30, 2008 5:14 pm

Hi,

I am trying to shedulle my scripts in the following way:

After starting computer, Macro Sheduller starts, and the MAIN script automaticly runs. The main script runs for about 2-3 minutes, and stops, then it runs again each 15 minutes.

In the "run when" option i checked everything, in advanced i checked "repeat continuosly", "run immediately Anyway" and "allow scheduller service to run this macro". I setup Reapeat every 15 minutes, and time to 17.20
I waited until 17.20 and the script started runnig, but the schedulle had stoped after rebooting the system the next day, or after 48h of working, or when it is manually stopped, and run again before 17.20.

How to setup the script to run each 15 minutes, after reboot, nomatter what time the reboot is, and how long the CPU was turned off ?

It would be nice if there was some option: "run again after 15 since last run [the beginning of running the script, or after the end of running the script]", and this option should be independent to current time.

For a repeating schedule you should leave the advanced scheduling options to "Run at scheduled start time". The new start time is calculated based on the repeat interval and therefore you should leave it to the default. By setting it to "run immediately anyway" you will cause it to run immediately on startup and break the cycle.
