I am getting some odd MS10 hide/show behavior that I have not experienced in MS9 (Vista x64 system)
Scenario :
1) Startup a script via hotkey or quicklaunch that uses Message or MessageModal
2) Cancel the script the Shift+Esc
3) Startup that script again (or any other script using Message or MessageModal
At this point the MS10 main window (SHOW function) suddenly appears. MS10 was in HIDE mode prior to this. Additional symptoms are clicking on the main window close button doesnt work anymore (HIDE function). Double clicking on the MS systray icon (SHOW function) also fails. Fortunately right clicking on the MS systray icon and using SHOW/HIDE from there does work. No big deal right ? Well the fact that the MS10 main window now appears automatically whenever certain scripts are used is not fun. try using the very handy sample script Text Capture to test out the new text window functions in MS10. Its tricky to use when the MS10 main window pops up every time its started.

Somewhat annoyingly I am also unable to replicate this one! Would be easy to fix if I could replicate it.
What else does your script do besides Message/MessageModal - perhaps that is a wildcard and something else causes it. One thing that probably would cause this is if your script sets focus to Macro Scheduler itself, or sends keystrokes to itself - perhaps inadvertently. Could it be doing that in some way?

Try this (after a fresh boot)
1) double click MS icon .. main window appears with list of macros
2) close main window via standard X close button in upper right corner
3) start Text Capture tool via quicklaunch
On my system this causes the problem. By the way, the text capture macro is an excellent tool for checking out those new text window commands

I can replicate that. When running from QuickLaunch menu the main form is unhidden and then the close button fails. But from hotkeys or schedules everything appears to work fine. Is this same for you (your first post suggested same problem occurs with hotkeys also but I cannot replicate that).

Ok. I can see the cause of the problem when launching from QuickLaunch. Will get this fixed asap.
