Combo Box list display size

Post by JRL » Wed Mar 28, 2007 10:14 pm

Currently, When I use a combo box in a dialog and the list being displayed by the combo box is greater than 8 items, only 8 items will display and a scroll bar will be available to access items 9 thru ...... Is there any way to control the number of items simultaneously displayed by the combo box? In other words, if I have 15 items, is there a way to increase the size of the combo box display so that a user can see all 15 items at once?

Thank you,
Dick

Hi Marcus,

I would also be interested in this feature as it would speed things up for the user... not having to manually scroll the list. For dialogs with many combo boxes (having 9+ items), it would speed things up a lot.

If not already possible, could this be added to the Wish List?

Also, just wondering what the upper limit on this could be, 15 items? 20? There are more and more high res screens out there so these users could display quite the tall list of items before a scroll bar would actually be necessary.

To take advantage of this, could we also get a "max" setting? That would be where it would calculate the max number of items displayable without a scroll bar on-the-fly and if it has less items than that, just display them; if more, it could show the scroll bar.

Thanks for listening and take care.

[Open] PlayWav command that plays from embedded script data
...then please add your thoughts/support at the above post - :-)
