Using .exe files from MS Pro 7.2.038 in Terminal Services

Post by Niall » Thu Dec 21, 2006 4:49 pm

Hello,

I've seen some reference to the error I get when I try to run a .exe file from MS Pro 7.2.038 in a Microsoft TS session (W2003 via TSWeb):

Error Attempting to read : c:

This happens on the first attempt, on subsequent attempts I see Macro Scheduler on the task bar for a few seconds then nothing. The Macro never actually runs.

I'm not in a position to upgrade to 7.2.043 as suggested (it would take our procurement dept weeks to generate an order for starters!!) - is there another way round this?

To date I've been using this very successfully to automate some processes in prescribing software, but we're now trying to get this software implemented as thin client and that's when I've run into problems...

Appreciate any advice,

Niall.

If you suspect an upgrade will resolve your problem, then by all means upgrade. I believe that if you own Macro Scheduler 7.2.038, you can upgrade to 7.4.009 for free.

See Marcus' post in this thread

Hope this helps,
Dick
