EDIT> Return %CRLF%

Post by Jmac2501 » Fri May 19, 2006 8:15 pm

Is there another way to send a return comand besides typing %CRLF% into an EDIT line to start a new line.

This is how i have it setup now just looking for an easyer way.

Let>R=%CRLF%

so in the EDIT box i enter> This is a test %R% This is only a test

output looks like > This is a test
This is only a test

Looking for another way instead of typeing out the %R% or %CRLF%

Have you considered using a memo box rather than an edit box. With a memo box if you want a new line you just hit return. I always thought that was the difference between an edit box and a memo box. An edit box is to input one line and a memo box is to input multiple lines.

I don't know either... but I would like to say that what you were doing as a workaround was very clever.

Happy scripting,
Dick
