I am unable to start the Macro Scheduler Service on NT 4.0. I receieve the following error "Could not start the Macro Scheduler Service service on \\Server Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occurred" I have tried it with different user accounts but get the same results. My scripts run fine when done manually but I need the service to run them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
We have had no problems running the scheduler service under NT, but we do have SP6 and all latest updates. Do you have all the latest NT service packs? What happens when you are logged in as administrator?
Code 2140 is an internal error that means NT was unable to perform some action. Could be that a path is wrong or there is a security issue. Hard to say. Would really need to make sure everything is installed properly, and all in the right places. I would remove the service and reinstall Macro Scheduler.
If you don't get anywhere I would be happy to do a remote desktop session and check it out for you.
