Hi,
Hmmm. It sounds more like a display driver issue to me. I would check to ensure you have the correct display drivers installed and see if there are any updates available from your display manufacturer's website.
Mouse Pointer not visible when recording a macro.

I figured out what my problem is. All folders on my system have the read only flag which is causing the problem with recording macros. I have searched Google and Microsoft for the last 3 hours and tried everything they suggested but to no avail. I can't get rid of the read only flag in the folder properties, not only is it causing problems with the recording feature but with the trace and run debug features as well, the F8 debug option works fine by the way.
When I boot up in save mode everything works like it should, I can record, run a trace and debug. I will just keep searching until I find a fix or if I get fed up I will reformat my system.
Sorry to have wasted your time.

I confirmed with ATI that I am running the latest drivers and BIOS.
I am going to have to move on to another product for now due to project pressure. I have used Macro Scheduler in the past, which is why I thought of this product for my current project. Maybe I will be able to return to using it once the project is complete or on the next project.
Is it possible to get a refund for this, and if so, how do I proceed with that?
Thanks for your replies.

I've tried recording with both 7.4 and 8.0 on a variety of machines and test environments here under administrator and ordinary user accounts and have been unable to replicate this problem. I have tested under Win95, 98SE, Me, XP Home SP2, XP Pro SP2, XP 64 Bit Edition, Windows 2000 Pro, NT4.0SP4, and Windows 2003 Server. I was unable to reproduce this issue. I am 99.99% certain there has to be something amiss with your system, either a display adaptor driver, monitor driver, mouse driver or DirectX display software or some other third party display or mouse software.
Before issuing a refund support would appreciate the opportunity of taking a close look at your machine if at all possible. However, if time is tight I do understand that the software is not 100% usable for you right now, whatever the cause, so to that end please contact sales and request a refund application.

Once again thank you. I am sure it will turn out to be video related or something like that. However, I need to point out that another product does not have this issue. I will also say the other product has its own set of issues and I view it as a short-term solution to get me thru this project.
Macro Scheduler is something I have used in the past that is GUI friendly and very very customizable. I will be checking it out again in the near future.
Regards Maxx/John
