Error in recording macros

Post by ddd » Mon Nov 25, 2002 6:00 pm

When I try to record a macro and I finished, then appaer a Window with "This program has done not permitted operation and will be interrupted". Then the following:
MSCHED provocó una excepción eedfadeH en el módulo de 0000:00000000.
Registros:

ECX=00000000 DS=0000 ESI=00000000 FS=0000
EDX=00000000 ES=0000 EDI=00000000 GS=0000
Bytes en CS:EIP:
Volcado de pila:

When I push on "Close" appears: Exception EConvertErrors in module MSCHED.EXE at 00009420
"0.03" is not a valid floating point value.

The version is: 7.1.11e (Trial version) running in Windows 98.

What can I do?

Hi,

I think there may be a problem with regional settings that use the comma (,) as the decimal sepator. It is the language in your posting that lead me to ponder this.

Check in control panel/regional settings and see if you are using something other than a period (.) as the decimal separtor. If you are using something else, try changing it to a period and see if that fixes the issue.

If this is the case then we should see about a fix that makes it language independent.

Quite so! I changed in Panel Control/Regional Setting the decimal separator (before it was the comma and now it is the point). Now I can record macros.

But now I notice something new. In version 7.0 when you finish recording a macro arise a windows with some options (ignore Waits, and some other). And now in version 7.1 do not arise this windows. The macro is recorded inmediatily. Why? It would have been good to keep these options in the new version.

Thank you
:D

If you want to keep all the events you now select 'Low level record' on the initial screen.

Thanks for reporting back about the decimal separator. We will release a fix for this so that you don't have to change your regional settings.

Hi,

We've fixed this in version 7.1.12 so that the regional settings are not important. You can get the update from http://www.mjtnet.com/dldregd.htm

Eval version from http://www.mjtnet.com/downloads.htm
