I'm having a serious problem with Macro Scheduler that is hitting at the wrong time. I need to have some work completed by Friday morning and was relying on MS to have automate a bunch of the work.
I first noticed the issue with the following code going REALLY slow:
Repeat>npEdit
Press Down
GetControlText>Add New Resource,ComboBox,1,npEdit
Until>npEdit,AGENT_SUPGRP_NUM
Before I purchased a license and installed the full version this ran really fast.
Upon further testing I find that if I right click the blue Macro Scheduler icon in the systray it won't let me select any of the options (stop, hide, about, exit quick launch).
If I double click on the blue icon it pulls up the Macro Scheduler 12 list window fine but if I try to click on any of the File, Edit... menus I can't select any options from the sub menus. Same thing happens for right click menus.
If I open up one of my scripts or the sample scripts I can use the editors sub menus without problems just loops execute VERY slow.
Since I can't exit out of Macro Scheduler I have to end task on it. When I do this I receive the error:
List index out of bounds (-1)
Other applications that use similar menus, such as Office work just fine. I have tried completely removing 12.0.5 and reinstalling but still have the same problem.
I'm running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.
HELP.

Hi all,
A copy of this query was received to the helpdesk at 8.44pm last night and we replied at 9.13pm with some suggestions (our reply below). At 10.02pm we received a reply to say the problem was solved.

Hi,
Can you try the following:
With Macro Scheduler NOT running, locate your script (.scp file) in Windows Explorer, right click on it and select Edit. This opens the script in the standalone editor with Macro Scheduler and other macros and settings out of the equation. Run the script within the standalone editor.
Does the problem persist?
Another thing to try:
- with Macro Scheduler NOT running go to my documents/Macro Scheduler 12 and rename macros12.dat to macros12.bak.
- restart Macro Scheduler and you should now have no macros showing.
- do File/New Macro and then in the editor import the .scp file in question and save with a new macro name.
- close the editor.
- you should now have only the one macro showing in Macro Scheduler.
- Try running it. Does the problem persist?
