Autologon by Scheduler Service

Post by mitche12 » Fri Feb 17, 2006 4:44 am

I am trying to use the Autologon feature which works great when it starts behind the screen saver, but when I try to get it to work by the scheduler service it will not.

The company I work for displays a splash screen prior to the logon screen that you must click ok, or enter to proceed. Then the logon screen is followed with another splash screen indicating the last time and computer my userid logged on to. I can then choose either report violation or click continue.

Any suggestions ?

If you have a custom logon screen like that then AutoLogon will not work. It can only work with the standard classic Windows log in prompt. It will not work with XP's fast switching fancy login which is why the instructions ask you to change to the classic logon prompt. But if your company has a custom logon screen with extra buttons to press then it will not work. Sorry.
