I am using an app and want start it at 1am and then shut it down at say 4am. The app is also an automated app and when it opens it checks the time and at particular times runs report jobs. The problem is that after this app is started it automatically defaults to taskbar residence. The only way to shut it down is to click on the icon twice which brings up the gui and then click on the 'shut down reporting' button. The system window reads like this:
1509032 - ThunderRT6FormDC "Reporting is now paused. Minimize this window to resume."
1771074 - ThunderRT6CommandButton "SHOW ERRORS"
1640010 - ThunderRT6CheckBox "Log out from CMS when inactive"
264314 - ThunderRT6CommandButton "COPY JOB"
526364 - ThunderRT6CommandButton "ADD NEW JOB"
264302 - ThunderRT6CommandButton "DELETE JOB"
264202 - ThunderRT6CommandButton "EDIT JOB"
264200 - ThunderRT6CommandButton "SHUTDOWN REPORTING"
264194 - ThunderRT6CheckBox "Log activity"
264300 - ThunderRT6CheckBox "Watch Updates"
264204 - ThunderRT6Frame "Time Source"
264206 - ThunderRT6TextBox "1"
264198 - ThunderRT6ComboBox "0."
329748 - Edit "0."
329750 - ThunderRT6CheckBox "Sync w/Server"
These two processes show in the task manager:
IEXRetriever.exe
Interval Analysis Reporter.exe
The program starts via the Interval Analysis Reporter.exe file but getting it to shut down from the task bar is proving a problem.
When the program open the light bulb figure shows in the task bar and remains there until you either want to edit a report job or close the program in which case you have to double click on the light bulb which pauses the reporting and then push the 'Shut down reporting' button which brings up an 'are you sure.....?' window, you click yes and then it closes the application. I am hoping to go directly to closing the app without going through all this........any help out there?
Trouble getting app to close...
