[Error] Can't Record Macros

When i try to record macros I get the error, "Cannot make a visible window modal." Then no macro is recorded or created.

How can I record macros?

(The reason I'm trying to record a macro is that I'm trying to find out how MS recognizes mouse button 4 on my mouse.)

Odd. Have you tried restarting the software completely?
