PROBLEM: Find Object Wizard crashing in current version
I used the Find Object Wizard (FOW) today and have found that it seems to be crashing.
Initially it seemed somewhat random, although there appeared to be a pattern that it was when I moved the crosshairs to the right of my screen. I wondered whether it was related to the high resolution of my primary monitor (2560x1600) given that I have had issues with image capture using MacroScheduler at high resolutions in the past.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled MacroScheduler and it now seems that it is only crashing when I move the crosshairs onto the exposed desktop. As long as I keep the crosshairs in an open window it does not crash, however if I move them onto the exposed desktop it crashes immediately. Strangely the Notepad software also causes it to crash as well, which is different to all other open windows that I have tried so far.
I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this issue and if there are any suggestions.
I look forward to your replies.
Tim

Re: Find Object Wizard crashing
In an effort to figure this out I have:
- completely reinstalled Windows 8.1
- MacroScheduler Pro as my only other software installed
The Find Object Wizard is still crashing. It is doing it even when I lower the screen resolution that I am using.
Any thoughts ? This is driving me crazy.

Re: Find Object Wizard crashing
I got mine to crash by moving cursor to the task bar. I don't use it that much.

Re: Find Object Wizard crashing
After all my investigations, I have :
- reinstalled windows 8.1
- removed all unnecessary hardware
It turns out the solution has been to log in to Win 8.1 with a local account (as in not using a Microsoft Account).
I have no idea why this would make a difference, however it seems to work. I now have 2 accounts on my PC - a local account and a Microsoft Account based login. MacroScheduler works perfectly on the local account but crashes on the Microsoft Account.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas why this may be?

Re: Find Object Wizard crashing
This is strange. I log into Windows 8.1 using my microsoft account and have not had a problem with the find object wizard. And I'm not sure why the method of providing credentials should change the way windows objects work. I therefore think this is a coincidence.
