Text Capture with IE11

Post by inadayz » Mon Dec 22, 2014 7:08 am

Text capture seems to have stopped working with IE11. I am using the Text Capture Wizard, but no text is returned while holding shift. This worked previous before I reset Internet Explorer to it's default condition using IE/advanced/Reset. Does anyone have any suggestions to get the text capture to work again? I also believe it can no longer use the extractTag function after performing a reset.

I had to uninstall IE11 along with deleting the IE11 directories under programs. Reinstalled, then text capture started working again.

This problem keep reoccurring. I am not sure if it is the IE11 security updates that is breaking it. I can uninstall IE11, delete IE11 directories, reinstall and it starts working again. I will try to pinpoint if it is a security update that is breaking it the next time it occurs.

I am now working with the version 14, I have multiple macro that run overnight. This morning, one of them didn't work and has received an error, due to a typo error of myself. Unfortunately all others macros that were scheduled after, didn't run, due to the error received.

By default errors will cause a modal dialog error box to appear. These will therefore hold up the rest of the app. But if you use custom error handling or ignore errors this will not happen and other macros will be able to continue.
