tech Question

Post by lance1962 » Thu Nov 13, 2008 11:35 pm

Hi - I haven't used macro scheduler for years and years.

Would someone be kind enough to tell me if the following is possible.

Run Program
Open jobfile from that program
Select fuction from program
wait for function to complete (time require varies)
close jobfile
open next jobfile
repeat above.

The jobfiles are stored on a network location and are stored in seperate directories in either alpha or numerical order.

Thanks
Lance

Opening an application and then automating the application's capabilities is pretty much what Macro Scheduler is designed to do.

This I relaise - but is it possible to get it to change directories automatically.
I have a long list of directories that I want it to run the same task in (from within the program) I need to get it to complete one - THEN open the next directory and do the same thing.

thanks

Yes, Macro Scheduler can acquire a list of directories as specified by you and have your software perform actions on files within those directories.
I haven't used macro scheduler for years and years.
What version of Macro Scheduler are you currently using?
