F1 to launch help and other hot keys

Post by Rory » Thu Dec 21, 2006 8:32 pm

I have a number of issues and hope someone can provide assistance.
I am running Macro Scheduler Version 8.1

1. Pressing F1 to get help launches any one of the other macro scripts and does not launch help (I do not have F1 set up as a hot key).

2. Some of the hot keys I have set up end up launching other Macro Scheduler scripts and not launching the one I intend.

3. The Macro Scheduler window does not stay formatted for column widths and it does not open in the same way as I left it. It always opens so that the top is lower than the top of the screen. I can adjust it so that it fits the screen, but the next time that I open it, it is back to not fitting the screen.

Thanks,
Rory

There may be a script that you run that presses either Ctrl, Shift or Alt and does not release it. Or this may be related to problem 2
2. Some of the hot keys I have set up end up launching other Macro Scheduler scripts and not launching the one I intend.
I had this problem once. I fixed mine by removing all of the hot key settings, closing Macro Scheduler, firing Macro Scheduler back up and redoing all of the hot key settings. No guarantee this will work for you but it did for me.
3. The Macro Scheduler window does not stay formatted for column widths and it does not open in the same way as I left it. It always opens so that the top is lower than the top of the screen. I can adjust it so that it fits the screen, but the next time that I open it, it is back to not fitting the screen.
These are problems with version 8. I assume that you are talking about after "closing" Macro Scheduler and not just minimizing. Both have been fixed in version 9. I don't know if there are any plans to fix this in version 8. In the mean time, I don't think you can do anything to make these better other than upgrade when version 9 is released sometime after the first of the year.

Just remembered a more recent similar problem where my old keyboard had a sticky Ctrl key. Replacing the keyboard made all the hotkeys work properly again.
