Macro Scheduler / IEAuto crash

Post by jason-csc » Sun Dec 10, 2006 10:55 pm

I have a scheduled macro using autologon and IEAuto that's been working fine. However when it ran last night, I got the following error messages from Macro Scheduler

Exception EOleException in module IEAuto.dll at 00058454

and

Macro Scheduler: msched.exe - Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x77e55dea

The macro scheduler service is still running and looks hung and the service control manager cannot shut it down.

I have the macro logging to a file, but nothing was logged to it. There were a couple of IE windows displayed whick are started by the macro, but it looks like everything stopped with Macro Scheduler crashed.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jason.

If logging is enabled, then log should at least show that the macro started.
If nothing was logged to file, then macro never started, and problem is something in your system that hung before macro run time.

Just curious if you recently upgraded to MSIE 7.0?
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
Bob

IE7 is not installed.

The macro did start, but it didn't log anything.

Nothing else on the system hung. All I got was Macro Scheduler crashes. After I killed the Macro Scheduler service, all returned to normal.

Cheers,
Jason.
