Restart

What code, if any, should I use to restart the pc ignoring open files. I have tried to use Ctrl, Alt & Del, but this doesn't seem to run.

FYI:

ShutDownWindows>3 will shut down, ignoring open files
ShutDownWindows>2 will restart computer

I don't think there is a combination of both like
ShutDownWindows>5 which will restart, ignoring open files.

Sugestion for future release:
Perhaps the four existing parameters could be redifined as binary values that could be totaled to combine them? This would initially mean changing parameter 3 to 4, just to force the action.. Then we could use 3 to Logoff/Reboot, and 4, 5, 6 to Shutdown, Reboot, Logoff with forced action (Hmmm, no use for the value of 7, but that's OK).

Hi,

We've added this in 7.2. We can't change the values for the options for backwards compatibility reasons, so the new values are:

0: Shutdown
1: Reboot
2: Logoff
3: Forced Shutdown
4: Forced Reboot
5: Forced Logoff

7.2 is planned for release sometime in April.

Hi Support,

Plesae do take into account that the shutdown may be problematic, if not impoosible, in the following situation:
1. RP_WAIT is set to 1 (in a currently running script), AND
2. both Macro Scheduler and the script are actively running.

The computer may become irresponsive (hang).
