How do I start this defrag procedure for a non-admin user?

Post by Zeke » Thu Oct 23, 2003 12:58 am

I found a script in the tips and scripts section that defrags a Windows 2000 computer. It works just fine for me - I am a local admin on my machine.

I was thinking about setting up a compiled exe version of this defrag routine that would run say at 2:00 am on Sunday morning (hopefully no one is working at that hour!).

My question, is there any way to tell this one exe file to run at that time with the elevated privileges of a local administrator. Our users are for the most part do not have local admin rights - we have tried to lock down their computers.

Is there anything in Macro Scheduler that could help us here?

Thanks again
