File Move Examples

Post by promarkf » Mon Feb 28, 2005 7:57 pm

I'm trying to move files within a directory and its sub directories with a date created of x number of days for the current date to a monthly archive directory.
Anyone have any tips or examples?

Thanks your help is greatly appreciated!

The easiest way is to have a Macor Scheduler script call Beyond Compare 2.
Run>"c:\program Files\beyond Compare 2\bc2.exe" "@z:\Promarkf\BC2\Promarkf.bc2"
It takes you about at most 2 minutes to complete any complicated jobs.

I downloaded Beyond Compare.
It is perfect!
I just may need to invent some other applications for such an useful tool.

Thank You Armsys it will save me quite a bit of time.

Frank,

Hope you like the product. Focus in its scripting capability. It's more than comparing files between left and right sides. You can use Beyond Compare 2 to update your website. I have been using it everyday since October 2002. Recently I developed a sophisticated backup/synchronizatoin system (in Macro Scheduler script, of course) for my client entirely based upon BC2.
