EndUpdateResource Failed when compiling

Post by davidwms » Wed Sep 04, 2013 7:42 pm

Unless I am compiling a very simple macro I am getting the error "EndUpdateResource Failed" and the exe does not have the icon attatched that was selected. I am using version 14.0.13 and the exe seams to work fine but since upgrading to version 14 it takes at least 30 seconds to load the exe before it starts the macro.
Questions:
Is there something in the macro file that would cause this?
Is anyone else getting this error? Do I need to reinstall?

That's not an error I've seen specifically in Macro Scheduler before, but looking on Google seems to be an Access Denied error(?). Just a guess, but could a file it's trying to access be in use?

Does the error still occur if you run the macro from the editor before compiling?

Either way, I'll mark this for Marcus' attention so we can get some expert eyes on it.

Sounds like this is something to do with the icon you are using. I guess there is no issue if you do not choose an icon?

What is the icon format? It may contain an unsupported icon format.

Can you send a copy to support via help.mjtnet.com and we can take a look at it.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?

Problem disapeared

Post by davidwms » Thu Sep 05, 2013 8:53 pm

I tried several scripts that had been giving me problems for the last 2 weeks and they all compiled without any errors. I will let you know if the problem comes back.
Thanks for all you help.
