Base64 Unknown Identifier I Error (Possible bug?)

Post by Rain » Thu Aug 08, 2013 4:06 pm

I'm getting an error (Unknown Identifier I) when I try to encode an image file with MS 13.2.4.

I've uploaded the script and image in question...plus an image taken by the same camera that does not trigger the error. Is it just me or is there a problem with the Base64 command?

Go to https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0bep3f ... t0WDA/edit

Click the "File" menu on the page

Click Download

Save the file to your desktop

Extract the zip file

Run Base64.scp

It appears the error started with the release of versions 12 and 13 because versions 9 and 11 don't produce the unknown Unknown Identifier I error.

That's interesting to know Rain, thank you. We'll double check to see if we can figure out what's causing this.

Confirm this happens in latest current release, but quite by coincidence a Unicode/Base64 issue was fixed in dev a couple of weeks ago and it works in that version. We'll be releasing that publicly this week.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any chance to get it fixed in version 13 as well since the problem started with the release of version 12?

At this stage I don't know if it is possible to fix in older versions but I will investigate for you.

Thanks. I hope it's possible, it would make writing examples a lot easier not having to use VBscript all the time.
