Executing a .macro or .mch file

Post by Dorian (MJT support) » Thu Jun 19, 2003 4:56 pm

Hi Guys,

I renamed one of my .scp files to a .macro (and then tried .mch) so I could schedule it with windows task scheduler after 2 hours of inactivity.

When running I get a "windows could not fnd c:\macroname.mch" error, even though the macro then starts running anyway.

I tried renaming the macro a few times, and tried it in different folders, but got the same error.

Any ideas why?

So don't rename the macro itself. Have a try: start the macro from within a batch file (.bat) which you schedule via the task scheduler.
Maybe this isn't a highly sophisticated method, but I assume it's working.

Alas this method will not work, as I did not associate .scp files allowing me to easily edit them in notepad.

I associated .macro and .mch so that I can run them.
