Send command error

Hi, I am having a little trouble with the send command. Basically I am trying to send a filename to a dialogue box using the same method which I have successfully used many times in the past. Unfortunately this time instead of sending the filename the send>%file_name% command is sending the contents of the clipboard (with the last two characters truncated off it). I have tried changing the variable name file_name to a different name file_name_AEV but doing this doesn't seem to help. I have even changed it so that it is just trying to sent the string mt, but this has the same result. I have other send commands in my macro which are running just fine, only this one instance is messed up. If any of you have encountered this problem before and have a solution please let me know because I am pretty stumped.

Hi Matt,

Again it's always nearly impossible to resolve technical issues wihtout knowing the sufficient and necessarydetails.
1. May we have the (portion of) of source script?
2. Is there any space in your %file_name%?, both variable name and/or value?
3. Is Windows running other process(es) simultaneously?
