Post by Mansoor » Wed Apr 20, 2005 11:25 am

Hi there,
Any expart who can help me to develop a Macro in Excel with the help of VBA by getting a datas from the txt file. :!:

Actually I have a data file in txt format which contents the different sets of numeric and chartacter type datas. It invokes by the different command. I wants to create a worksheet to represent this datas in a tabuler form with the help of Macro. I want to create a macro which ask for the file name, after given the file name, it will search a data based on given conditions and retrive a values under the given conditions. Its an reperative task. Also there are some calculations based upon the type of datas it displayed (i.e. like if its internal then display with red color, if its external then display with green color then calculate total red & green color values etc.).

Anybody who can help me will be appriciated by solving my big problem and save my job. If they need a data file and the format in which I want to present, I can send him. :?:

Does this have anything to do with Macro Scheduler or are you just after Excel/VBA development?

No it's not the matter of relating to Macro Scheduler or not. Actually I am looking for someone who can help me to solve my problem in any way, either through Macro Scheduler or with just Excel/VBA development.

Please help me..........
