Question about the MS SDK and Image Recognition...

Post by rjw524 » Wed Feb 25, 2015 5:37 pm

Hello,

If you use Macro Scheduler's SDK to build macros within an application, do the Image Recognition commands still function?

(Specifically, I'm thinking of applications that have their own embedded web browsers.)

So while that program you used the SDK with is running, it could be minimized and still run while you have another application maximized, such as Excel, for instance.

(I've always thought that the Image Recognition features of MS can only work if that image is visible on the screen itself.)

Thanks,

RJ

Hi,

Yes, you can use Image Recognition within the SDK. In fact here's an example of the SDK being used in Python to find the Windows Start button using image recognition:

Yes, of course. Only visible things can be seen. If something is not on the screen then, well, it's not on the screen. Macro Scheduler, you and I can only see bits of the screen that actually exist.

This has nothing to do with whether or not it's run within the SDK. It's true regardless.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?
