You need to post your script when you need assistance like this, just remove any user names and passwords etc.

How are you trying to get file? Via HTTP Request or FTP?

Thanks for the quick reply - here is the ftp string

FTPGetFile>173.188.28.191,username,password,21,%SCRIPT_DIR%\uptest.txt,%upldusracct%\uptest.txt,A

it works on w2k but not XP

Is this a compiled exe?

I am assuming that the file being uploaded is in the same directory as the executable.

Host Dir (%upldusracct%) is that being set somewhere else in your script? Are you able to post more of the script so I can step though it. Are you able to connect to the FTP though windows explorer eg FTP://173.188.28.191

I tried connecting to that IP for FTP both via an FTP client and via IE, however it just sits there waiting for a reply. Is that the correct IP?

If you can't post the script publicly feel free to PM me. I have created quite a few FTP utilities using MS.

Here was one I wrote for a gaming server provider to report cheaters & upload demo files.
