Autologon password issue since upgrade to version 11

Post by Wolverine » Wed Feb 11, 2009 5:10 pm

Hi, I've been using Macro Scheduler very successfully for a few years now, to automate downloading sales data from various Internet websites.
I was also using the Autologon feature for each macro so that it could unlock the PC each time a macro had to be run - this was under version 9.
When we were asked to change our PC for enhanced security, and remove users with local Administrator rights, I upgraded to version 11.1.03 Pro to allow me to create .EXE's from my macros, and run them via Windows Scheduler.
BUT! I cannot get Windows Scheduler to run properly, so reverted to using a user with local Administrator rights and Macro Scheduler's own service.
My problem is that the Autologon won't work any more under this new version of Macro Scheduler!
I can see that when I enter the password for my user and save the macro, if I go back to check on it, the password entered has more characters in it than I'd previously entered, and when trying the macro out, I get the Windows error that an incorrect password has been used!
Now I know that Autologon is a tricky subject, but if it was working fine in version 9 of MS, why not under version 11.1.03?
Please help! :(

I would add that I've gone through all the steps in the **STICKY** which Marcus posted first! :D

Hmmm .. I will check this out and get back to you. Sounds like a bug introduced into v11.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?

We've found the cause of this and are now testing the fix. Hopefully will issue the fix later today.
