problem sending ALT key to Office 2007 programs

When I try to send an ALT key via Press Alt and Release ALT to powerpoint 2007, nothing happens.

ALT press is used to call up menu functions on screen and access features for which there are no direct key access.

Is there a block to sending certain kinds of key presses to Office 2007 programs? Or is there a workaround?

I've never had a problem sending ALT to Office 2007 programs. Can you show us your code?
