I upgraded to version 9 and again made a mess of things trying to import macros.
After a long time, I find I now have 2 folders that contain macros and .dat & .ini files. One folder is the desired folder and the other is C:\Data\Macro Scheduler that was created by MS.
The dat & .ini files are updated in C:\Data\Macro Scheduler when changes are made but not in the desired folder.
How can I delete the C:\Data\Macro Scheduler folder and have all the files including the dat & .ini files updated in my desired folder?
Thanks in advance
Changing Location of Macro.dat, Groups.ini Files

Change the value of this registry key:
HKCU/Software/MJTNET/MSched/DataDir
Restart Macro Scheduler. It will now be using data files in the new location. If none there it will create fresh ones.
When upgrading, if a previous version is detected (if it locates the msched registry hive), the installer will UNCHECK the samples option so that it is defaulting to a PROGRAM FILES only install. This will therefore NOT install/change/modify samples/settings and leave your existing settings intact. If you check the samples option it will treat as new install and install sample settings, possibly changing the location to default.
So, when upgrading, leave samples unchecked (or backup your existing scripts and settings and import afterwards).

Oh Boy
I edited the registry to change the path (backed it up first of course)
Closed MS
I moved all the files from the undesirable folder to the desired folder.
Now, none of my macros run. I get an error message The system cannot find the file specified. MS locks up and I have to use Task Manager to kill MS.

The File Was Missing
I copied the .ini & .dat files to the desired folder and restored the files that were in the desired folder. This solved the issue.
