Schedules disappear when program updated

Post by APFCClyde » Thu Jan 25, 2007 7:21 pm

I've noticed that scheduled operations disappear when installing an updated version of the Macro Scheduler. I've applied three updates since version 9 was released & each time I have to reenter the schedules for my macros.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

do you install to the same location each time? Are you unchecking the "install Samples" selection? There is a file called Macros.dat in your MacroScheduler folder which contains all the scheduling information, so, if the details are being lost, you might try copying that file to another location, doing the update, then putting it back.

Have your scripts also disappeared? Doesn't make sense to me that you would lose only the scheduling information and not the pointer to the scripts themselves.

...and, no, I have never encountered this problem....
