AutoLogon doesn't work - password failure
I just bought and installed the newest version of Macro Scheduler Standard (8.0.3), but I can't get the AutoLogon to work. When the time is up and MS tries to unlock the computer, the unlock screen appears and the password is inserted, but then a dialog about wrong password appears, and MS doesn't do anymore. When I write the password myself, the computer logs on and the macro starts running.
What is wrong? How come doesn't it work? I am pretty sure that every setting is right, I think the problem is that the application does something wrong when it writes the password in the unlock dialog.
Please help me! Thanks

Hi,
Which version of Windows are you using? Have you set it to log in with the same account you usually log in with, or a different one? What happens when it logs in from a locked session as opposed to Windows being logged out?

Hi.
I use Microsoft Windows XP Version 2002 SP2.
I let MS logon with the same account as I usually use myself.
When I have scheduled a run, and have locked the computer, the following happens at the scheduled time: The logon dialog appears, as if pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL. After some seconds the password is inserted into the password field, and a dialog named "Computer Locked" is displayed with the following text: "The password is incorrect. Please retype your password. Letters in password must be typed using the correct case". Then nothing happens. When you manually click ok to the dialog, and manually enters the password, the computer is unlocked and you can see that the macro was ran at the scheduled time, though the computer wasn't logged on. I guess that it is an error, it would be nice that the macro don't run before the computer is finished logging on.
When I have scheduled a run, and have logged off the computer, the following happens at the scheduled time: The computer is logged on, exactly as it is supposed to, but when logged on nothing happens. The macro is not ron. The maco was a one-liner:
messagemodal>Hello World
I have also tried with the following macro, to let the computer logon before the macro started, but that doesn't help:
Wait>30
messagemodal>Hello World
When Macro Scheduler is running, I cannot log off the computer. I need to exit the application before Windows let me log off. I don't know why this happens.
Hope that was explanation enough.
Looking forward to get some comments.
Best regards Mikkel

Log file
Hi.
Here is the log file. You can see that the macro is started at the exact time (9:45), but as the login fails, the marco is not ended before the user manually clik ok in the error dialog and enters the password and click login.
18-07-2006 09:45:01:064 - Started Macro : Test
18-07-2006 09:45:01:095 - START: messagemodal>Hello World
18-07-2006 09:47:30:903 - END: messagemodal>Hello World
18-07-2006 09:47:30:903 - Finished Macro : Test
Scheduling is on, and both login-options are selected.

Same problem with Windows 2000 (but I might have a solution)
Hi.
I just installed the same version of MS (8.0.3) and the same one-line test macro on my Windows 2000 computer. (Microsoft Windows 2000, SP4, 5.00.2195). The exact samt happens, the password is inserted into the dialogue, and a message about wrong password is shown.
Maybe a solution:
The same dialogue is shown if you click enter with an empty password field. So my idea is that the poblem might be that there is no break from the password is inserted into the password field and the login-button is pressed. Try to let the application wait for 1 sec. before it logs in, I believe that might work. Please let me know.

Please contact support (via http://www.mjtnet.com/contact.htm) and we'll send you a debug version of the AutoLogon service so that we can try to see what is going on. We can then try a few tweaks to see if we can get it to work for you.

Follow up
I just tried a small application called DoLogon.exe, but that one didn't work either. I seamed that the password was inserted into the password field AFTER the Login button was pressed... Can you make a copy of the program that waits 5 seconds from it has inserted the password to it clicks the logon-button? It would be worth gold if that twist could solve the problem. Thanks
