Hi,
I would like to read and write MS variable data to excel cells.
(Specifically, data I have culled from websites using WebRecorder)
I have several tabs in the Excel files I use, and there are spaces and hyphens in their names.
So how would I take a variable named PUTDATA and put it into cell F2 of sheet "M OPT" in MADMat-06.xls? How would I retrieve it as GETDATA from the same location?
I saw a post from Marcus mentioning that DDE is not not long for this world, so I was wondering if MS has another option?
If not, how would it be done with DDE?
Thanks for your help.

The latest version of office still supports DDE, although it is not longer developed, many apps rely on it, so it won't be pulled any time soon.
