Encrypted macro still runs by hot-key...

Post by Shinto » Mon Jan 30, 2006 9:28 pm

Hello...I've made a macro with my credit card number (to enter quickly on web-forms etc.), and encrypted it...but when I press the hotkey it doesn't ask for the password. If I try to edit it or Run from the editor it will ask for pwd, but not when run from hotkey.

Am I being stupid...? :?

Thanks

Shinto

Hi Shinto,

Just verifying your findings. I upgraded to ver 8.0.1 with compiler today, set a hotkey for an old encrypted macro I had been using and the same thing happened, I could run it using the hot key and it didn't ask for the password.

I reported a similar situation where an encryptrd macro run using "Quick Launch" wouldn't ask for a password but Support addressed that in Version 7.3.01 01/11/2004 so I'm sure they'll get this sorted pretty quickly as well.

Note: If anyone else on the planet would find the following useful...
[Open] PlayWav command that plays from embedded script data
...then please add your thoughts/support at the above post - :-)
