Associating Groups with specific programs

Post by Guest » Thu Apr 08, 2004 7:21 pm

I am using the trail version atm but was wondering can you with the purchased version associate a specific group of macos to run only when a specific Executable program is active?

My problem atm is that I have created a group of macros in a seperate group directory and I want those to only be active when a certain .exe file is running..reason for this is because each of these macros use Shift+ 1-10 combinations as their Hot keys. Sometimes this cause conflict issues if I run MS at start up because currently that group runs when MS is running...how can I have MS running without a specific group of macros runing as well until the appropriate .exe file is activated?

Am I making sense here?

You could start each macro with lines to check if program X is running. If X is running. then exit script.

May be able to check for program X by looking for WindowName, or may need to use other utilities like Tlist or ProcessView.
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
