Add/retrieve comment to/from bitmap

Does anyone know of a way to add comments to a bitmap using MS without external software? If so, could you show both how to add and retrieve the comment?

I will be using it as a tag. Data which will determine the use of the bitmap in the macro I am writting. I am currently using an ini. But for simplicity, I would like to add and retrieve from the bitmap.
