How important is this feature for future versions of Macro Scheduler?

ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: Movable Contol Panel columns

Post by Bob Hansen » Fri May 16, 2003 11:56 pm

Using 7.2.036

Problem:
I use the Last Modifed column on the MS Control Panel very frequently, but don't want to use maximum screen real estate. Since this column is the farthest to the right, I am having to minimize many other column widths so that I can read the Last Modified column. But then I end up hiding other information.

Request:
Please provide the ability to drag and drop column positions. The existing system does remember column widths between sessions, that is good, and the ability to sort on the columns is good. Just need to add this additional feature to maximize its full value.

Thanks for listening.
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
Bob
A humble man and PROUD of it!

Hi Bob,

I completely missed this Enhancement Suggestion. Great idea, you've got my vote. :)

Also, beyond being able to change the order of the columns via click and drag, some apps I've seen have the ability where if you right click on a column header, it pops up a checkbox list of all possible column names. Then you can uncheck or check each column to hide or show it. I've also seen some apps that implement the column ordering capability off this same right click as well... but click and drag would be fine, as long as its possible.

Hi Marcus,

Is this one on the "Wish List"? Since Bob's post here is an Enhancement Request, does phpBB give you the ability to move this post to the Enhancement Suggestions forum? It might get more votes over there.

Note: If anyone else on the planet would find the following useful...
[Open] PlayWav command that plays from embedded script data
...then please add your thoughts/support at the above post - :-)
