Scheduler Not Running

Post by dwearden » Fri Feb 28, 2003 11:31 am

I am currently evaluating Macro Scheduler on Windows 2000 server. I have set up a script which works fine when I am logged in to the machine, but doesn't run for the time I have set it to run (23.55 every night). It runs automatically the next time I log in to the server.

Am I missing something obvious here ??

Thanks

Hi,

If your script is a non-GUI script - i.e. doesn't use any window functions, mouse or keyboard commands, and you have considered security context issues, then you can schedule it using the Windows Task Scheduler, or AT. See the help file for command line options.

If your script DOES perform GUI operations, then forget it - the GUI doesn't exist when the machine is logged out so it just won't work. No windows, no console.
