Text background color - Dialog box

Post by kpassaur » Fri Mar 11, 2005 10:20 pm

The new feature with adding graphics on Dialog boxes is great. However, does anyone know how (if it can be done) to have the current text that is placed on top of a backgound image not be in a grey box? Just clear would be fine. Or if a color could be specified it could be set to match the background image.

Being able to add a gif image format with a clear background would also do the trick, however I know only bmp and jpg files can be used. In a nutshell what I am trying to do is simple just add a logo that blends into the background and use the current label field.

I have built numerous dialog boxes where the labels are created from reading an ini file so I cannot just place all the text on the image and then add controls. I tried to match the grey color and use it as a background for the logo, however, when you change you desktop setting it changes the hue a little bit.

There is probally a way it can be done, but right now I don't know what else to try. Any ideas?

Hi,

You need transparent labels. Which will feature in the next release. We have already implemented this in the current development version.
