how to read data from a map

Post by aj » Wed Jul 20, 2011 10:09 pm

I'm looking for a way to gather corn yield information from this website:

https://www.asgrowanddekalb.com/yield/P ... fault.aspx

It appears the application is an ArcGis map. I was thinking the best way would be http requests then parsing the data that comes back, but for some reason the website is encrypted.

Question: After the state level map, the browser seems to be storing the information and running everything client-side. Is there a way to access this information that the browser has stored?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

AJ

Realistically I think you'll need to contact the site owner and ask for access to the data source rather than trying to parse the page. Having looked at the source of the html I don't really have a clue how you could use this. The only people who could help you are the site owners I'm afraid.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?
