MS11 uses more memory than MS9?!

Post by rullbandspelare » Fri Jul 03, 2009 1:11 pm

Hi!
I have an compiled script that I used to compile with MS9 that I now compile with MS11.
When runing the MS9 compiled exe I get 7000KB Memoryusege in taskmanager. And 22000Kb when including VBScript functions.

When compiling the same exe with MS11 I get memory usage of 65000Kb.

* Is this supposed to be this much. How can i minimize the memoryusage with MS11?

I also have problems opening MS11 scripts with MS9. I have to first copy all the MS11 code and then copy it to a new file. Otherwise i just get garbage in MS9 script editor.

Any coments on this?

Thanks!

I would not expect that. I've never seen that much being used. I'm running two compiled macros now - both compiled with v11 and one is using 5,300k and the other 7,200k.

Regarding garbage showing up when moving from 11 back down to 9 please please please read the release notes - I've tried to be as clear as I can be about why this is and what you can do about it. See:

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?

Does ReadFile> support UTF-8 too?
I have a XML file that says it is UTF-8. But when I read the file, the contents variable displays like "knäckebröd av råg2
instead off "knäckebröd av råg"

Is there any way to tell what the file realy is? Is it in the header of the file?

Thanks!
